Wedding Picture of the year 2009

I have been asked many times what is our best wedding picture of 2009?
The Answer is ....... I don't know.
So I have decided to let you pick it and to make it more interesting we are giving a couple of prizes.
1st Prize: A framed print to the winning wedding couple
2nd Prize: €300 portrait voucher to the person who leaves the best comment.

    I think this photograph has everything. It has symmetry, however is offset. It has old, yet also illustrates new. It has wind, yet appears calm.
    Also, the contrast of the colourful background with the white and black bride and groom creates great presents on the picture.

    Teresa and tommy should win, it just sums up how in love they are, the romantic sea-side scape with the boats out in the background with the two of them oblivious to everything around them. The fact that its black and white is has a romantic tone again and just the way the veil flows in the background is beautiful, by far the best wedding picture. Everything is in perspective and despite a relatively busy background our eyes are still immediately drawn to the focal point of the bride and groom. Excellent work Paddy!

    When we decided to run this competition we taught that we would get between 30 and 40 entries, but we were wrong we now have well over 100.
    We have entries via Facebook , Blog , emails post and text , the comments have been absolutely brilliant .
    We also didn’t put a closing date for the competition, mainly because we didn’t think there would be so much interest but now we are putting midnight Saturday 31st July as our closing date.
    Regarding how votes are coming in, there are votes for nearly every picture but we notice that there are 3 or 4 who are leading the field and I’m not telling you who they are so keep voting.

    for the composition, perspective, everything it all sits well together and sets the scene and tone, the romanticism of the day, they are lost in the moment while the beauty of carlingford still sits in the background. All the pictures are beautiful in there own individual ways which makes it difficult to choose but for me that stands out more than the others i think its the added touch of the flowing veil and dress with the soft tones and colours
