We can only hope that this new decade is as sucessful as the last. We had some amazing weddings last year in both old and new locations.
From a sunset on a beach in Donegal, to champagne in an Orient Express carraige outside a hotel in Galway, St Stephens Green in Dublin, to the unforgetable helicopter flight to the boat house in Castle Leslie Co Monaghan, the splendor of Carton House Maynooth, to the historical Trim Castle, the exclusive Belinter House in Navan, to the beautiful scenery of Kinsale Co Cork, we certainly travelled the country last year. How ever we cannot forget our beautiful local venues, the historical Darver Castle, the breathtaking views from The Four Seasons in Carlingford and stately elegence of the Ballymascanlon House Hotel in Dundalk.
As President of the Irish Professional Photographers Association the year started off with the presentations of the annual awards in Carton House Maynooth. Where I was delighted to recieve the Best Classical Wedding Image and Emma was awarded the Open Art and Creativity Portfolio Award. During the year I travelled the length and breath of the country opening the National IPPA Photographic Exhibition. In October I hosted the Annaul October IPPA Conference in the Ballymascanlon Hotel in Dundalk. This was a very special event for me as I was awarded an Honary Life Membership of the IPPA .
Both Emma and I are looking forward to the new year starting with the Photographer of the Year Awards in February in which we are finialists in the Wedding and Portrait Catogories.
